How I: cleared up my acne!

Ok! So, I've never really had a big issue with acne. I've had a couple breakouts here and there, but nothing too dramatic...

Until a couple of months ago. I don't exactly know what the cause of my acne was at first. I knew it couldn't be my foundation, blushes, bronzers, cleansers, etc. because I had been using them for a few months and I never had a problem with them. I tried to think of what I had changed in my beauty routine that was causing the problem...

Finally, I figured out that it was because I wasn't cleaning my face properly. I wasn't getting all the makeup off before going to bed at night. Instead of washing my face twice, once to get the makeup off and a second time to actually clean my face, I only washed my face once, then I moisturized. Big, no no for my skin! It let me know by breaking out on my chin, my cheeks, my nose, in between my eyebrows, etc. It was terrible. I couldn't even cover it up with my foundation.

So, I did some researching trying to figure out how to fix this problem. I looked at home remedies, You Tube, read product reviews, etc. So, I bought the Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam. It had great reviews and many successful stories, so I decided to give it a try. After about a few weeks of using it, my acne got worse. New ones formed  and I had to stop using it.

I didn't want to spend any more money on products, so I turned to home remedies. I read about garlic being able to help, apple cider vinegar, and lemons. So, I gave lemons a try, along with Clean and Clear Advantage Spot Treatment. My beauty routine consisted of me washing my face twice, applying a toner, my moisturizer, then applying lemon juice on my pimples, letting it dry for 10-15 minutes, then applying the Clean and Clear Advantage Spot Treatment, letting it soak in for 10-15 minutes, then finall reapplying lemon juice on my pimples. I saw results within a week! I was so amazed. I still have some acne, but I can tell it's really clearing up, the more I use this beauty routine.

MAKEUPS; Foundation Hunt!

Hi everyone!
So, right now I'm on a foundation hunt! I've just recently started wearing foundation and right now I'm using MAC Studio Tech Cream Foundation. But, I'm actually running out of it right now. So, I'm in a search for a new foundation.

Here's what I am looking for in a foundation.

- Has to have SPF of at least 15
- Not too expensive: Under $30
- Good coverage

And I've narrowed down my options by doing some research, like watching make-up gurus on youtube and checking out the reviews of certain foundations. So, here are my options.

REVLON COLORSTAY FOUNDATION, $12.99

It does have SPF15 and it's inexpensive. But, my only concern is that I'm not sure what shade to pick out since I can't try it out at the drugstores.
MARK. FACE XPERT FLAWLESS TOUCH MAKEUP, $10
This foundation is inexpensive. But, the thing about this is that it has no SPF in it. :( And if I would have to order this online and I'd have to wait for it to be shipped to me and I really need the foundation right away. (Not really. lol) And it is $10, plus the shipping cost.

MAC SELECT SPF FOUNDATION, $26

This one does have SPF of 15 and it's a bit pricey, but it fits my budget of under $30 including tax and everything. When I first tried on foundation, this foundation was actually the foundation the MAC lady put on me and I loved it!

So, those my options right now. I'll blog later on and let you know which one I got. ;) And if you've tried any of these, let me know what you thought of them.!

Until next time,

HAiR ;; BANGS!

Lately, I've been obsessing over bangs. Now, I've had bangs before, but never the thick straight across ones. I've always had the sidebangs and most of the time I don't really know how to actually fix the bang. Friday afternoon, I went to get bangs. Main inspirations were from Nicole Scherzinger, Vanessa Hudgens, & one of the girls in the video, "Rockin' that Thang" (Remix) video (the girl with Ludacris).

And this is me with the bangs. ;)

Skincare: At Home Facial

Hi guys!
So I just wanted to share my weekly facial routine with you guys. Since, I wear make-up on a daily basis, it's important for me to take care of my skin. I always take my make-up off and wash my face every night before going to sleep. But, once a week, I like to treat my face to a "at-home facial." I only used 4 products. Now, I usually like to do this in the shower, usually at the end of a long week, to start off a new one fresh! After doing these steps, my face feels smooth and refreshed.

First, I wash my face with my daily cleanser, Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. Then, I scrub my face with St. Ive's Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub. Even after doing this step, my face always feels so smooth. After the scrub, I pat my face dry with a towel and then use mark. calm yourself face mask. I have dry skin, so this is perfect for me. I know that mark. cosmetics has another face mask for normal to oily skin, as well. So, if you have that check that out. I leave the mask on for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, I just wash off my face. Sometimes, I spray on mark. mist opportunity (which is not shown here) before I put on my moisturizer. And I believe that acts as a toner or something. I'm not sure. Anyways, I then moisturize my face with Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. And that's it!

Hope you guys try this out and if you know of any good face products, feel free to let me know! :)

Have a good week!
