Make-up Product Review: NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder

Hi everyone!!
So, this weekend I went to the beach and it was so amazing and relaxing! I love the beach!!!
Anyways, I have to tell you guys about this amazing product! It's the NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder!

I bought this product a few weeks ago in Bronze Gold at Rite Aid. It's such an amazing product. It gave me such a natural glow and the lighter of the two is such a great highlight powder. I usually have a problem with powder blushes/bronzers because when I put on my moisturizer and then a powder blush/bronzer it goes on very clumpy and it just didn't look good, lol. But, anways, I did not have that problem with this powder. It went on smoothly and evenly, it's great for contouring! I do recommend this product.

I also bought Jergens Natural Glow Express Body Moisturizer. And I was wondering if anyone of you guys have tried it. I would love to hear what you thought of the product. :)

Until next time. :)

Book Review: L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad

Ok! This isn't makeup related but, I just wanted to do a review on Lauren Conrad's FIRST novel called L.A. Candy. I'm a big fan of Lauren Conrad so I just had to have this book! I didn't know what it was about or anything, I bought it just becaus her name was on it! LOL!But, I've followed her through Laguna Beach and I religiously watched The Hills when it was on TV and even when it wasn't thanks to for letting us watch free episodes online!
Before I read the book, I knew that it was going to be about her life as a reality tv star, but she had the changed the names of the characters in the book. So, it's about 2 girls named Jane Roberts and Scarlett Harp. The main character is Jane. Instead of moving from Laguna Beach to Los Angeles, the two girls move from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles. As I read the book I pictured Lauren and Heidi in my head as Jane and Scarlett. The other characters were Braden, Jesse, Gaby, and Madison. It was fun trying to figure out who these characters were on The Hills.
I liked how she described how it was like to be on a reality tv show, how they have to set up the lighting, set up the scene, and everything before they actually shoot. And she also mentions in the book that one of the producers (I think) had texted her to repeat what she had said because the cameras didn't get or the mics didn't catch it or something. It's really interesting. She, Jane, actually talked about how it was kind of weird at first to be just sitting there and have the cameras around you. I'd feel extremely awkward if I was being filmed just hanging out with my friends, lol. I didn't really like Gaby and Madison. I didn't care too much for them, to me, it seemed like they were just there, lol.Ok, the ending was a little weird to me.. I didn't really like the way the book ended.
Overall, it's a pretty good book. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I give this book a 9. :) If you're a fan of Lauren Conrad, if you like The Hills, Laguna Beach, I recommend reading this book.
Now, there is a BOOK TWO coming out in February, I believe (check Lauren Conrad's twitter).. so book two should definitely clear up the ending for me. lol
:) Hope this was helpful!

Huge Haul! :)

Hi everyone!

Do I have a HUGE haul for you! :) So let's get started!

Got2b Smooth Operator Smoothig Hairspray & Got2b Smoothing Lustre Lotion

Ok, so one of the reasons why I bought these products was because number 1, it's pink (pink is my favorite color!), and number 2, the little charms are TOO cute! And it smells so great. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll do a review after I use it a few times. I bought these 2 for $5.99 at Walgreens. They were on sale so that's a plus! :)

mark Eyemarker in Jet, $5.50,
Flirt! Look of Love Eye Pencil in Tip Off, sale $9.60, original $12, Kohl's

So, eyeliners! :) I have used the mark eyemarker in Jet for a while now and I absolutely love it. The formula is very creamy. It's retractable so you don't need a sharpener or anything. It's great for the waterline and my problem with eyeliners in my waterline is that it gets in my contacts and it's very irritating, but this one doesn't get in my contacts or anything.

As for the Flirt! eyeliner in Tipoff, it's a black eyeliner. I went to Kohl's and they were having a sale on Flirt! cosmetics, 20% off. It's also a pencil eyeliner as you can tell. I haven't used it long enough to tell you about it. lol

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Sheer Lip Liner in Slick Coral, $4.50, Victoria's Secret Stores

Victoria's Secret was having a sale (I'm not sure if they still are) on their Very Sexy makeup! It was 75% off so I was extremely excited. I've never really been a fan of lip liners, but I started watching makeup tutorials on youtube and so I decided to try this lip liner. I thought this was going to be neutral, but it wasn't! But, that's ok. lol

Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Mascara in Blacktastic - 3 for $15 (?? I think) , Victoria's Secret Stores

I should've opened it and showed you guys the brush! lol.. but I thought that the packaging was really cute. I've always used the Beauty Rush lipglosses and it's cute how mascara is packaged in the same way. :)

Sonia Kashuk in Cocoa, Target
Wet n' Wild in 886, $3.99, Walgreens

I forgot the price of the Sonia Kashuk gel liner, I think it was $5.99, but I'm not sure. But, I do love the Sonia Kashuk gel liner! It goes on smoothly! I also love the Wet n' Wild gel liner! They are both creamy and goes on smoothly! :)

Flirt! Peek-A-Blush Powder Cheek Color in 15 Oh Please!, $11.20, orig $14, Kohls

As I mentioned before Kohl's was having a sale on Flirt cosmetics! I decided to get this blush and guess what? I love it! :) I love the color and it's so great for the summer. It's kinda bronze. It has a very good color payoff.

Top left: Victoria's Secret precision eyeliner brush, $4

Bottom left: Vicotria's Secret All Over Eyeshadow Brush

Right: Victoria's Secret Detailing Eyeshadow Brush

The bottom left and the brush on the right came with a set. I don't know the price because it was given to me. But, the precision eyeliner brush is amazing. You can't really tell from the picture, but it's like a script brush and it's great for gel liners.

And last but not least!

Sonia Kashuk Large Blending Brush

LOL, I was so excited to get this brush! I haven't really been to Target in a while and I've been wanting to get this brush! :)

There's my huge haul for you guys!

Let me know if any of you tried any of these products and let me know what you think of them!

Don't forget to comment! :)

Until next time.

Mini Mark Haul

I bought a few things from mark last week and just wanted to do a little haul for you guys.

I bought 2 rings! The one on the left is a flower ring, it was on sale for $2.99, but last time I checked it's back to its regular price at $12.99, I believe on the mark website. The ring on the right is just a blue ring. They have another color, I forgot what color, but I know it's gold. This one I have is silver. Last time I checked it was still actually on sale for $6.99. :) I haven't worn the blue ring yet, but I always wear the flower ring and I get so much compliments from it. Love it Love it! :)

I also bought the mark Shimmer Bars. I took pictures of them, but they didn't turn out all that great, you can't see the colors. But, here's a link to check them out:
The shades I bought are Stardust & Glow. I haven't tried them yet, but the Stardust can be used as a highlighter and Glow can be used as a bronzer/blush. The reviews are really great and I thought I'd give it a try.
So, there's my mini mark haul for you.
All of these items can be found on the mark website.

Vanessa Hudgens Inspired Hair Look using Remington Protect & Shine Hot Rollers

This look was inspired by Vanessa Hudgens hair in this picture:
I love her waves and her bangs and everything. I think she's so gorgeous. So, here's the look I came up with:

I know it doesn't look exactly like hers, but I wanted to try the hot rollers cause I've never used hot rollers before and I absolutely love it! :)
As the title indicated I did use the Remington Protect & Shine Hot Rollers.

It came with 20 rollers with clips in 3 different sizes like the box says. The instruction inside the box says that it usually heats up within 12-14 minutes (I believe), but I let mines heat for about 5-8 minutes and it was already hot. I thought it was going to be hard to use since I've never used hot rollers before, but it was so easy to use. I left the rollers in for about 10-15 minutes I believe, it was while I was doing my make-up. It was raining today and the curls held up so well. At first, the curls were tight curls, but after a while it starts to get loose. I didn't use hairspray, I just used the Citre Shine Serum, but even without hairspray the curls were still great! I love these hot rollers! I definitely recommend it. I got these rollers at Target for about $20.00. In the aisle, it said it was $21.99, but when I went to the registers it rung up as $19.75! I was so excited!
Until next time!
edit @v 551pm ; and OMG! Lauren Conrad' Book L.A. Candy book came out today and of course I bought it! I can't wait to read it! :)

Welcome + Mascara Review

Hi guys!
My name is Ylora! Just wanted to welcome everyone to my blog. I'll be doing all kinds things, from reviews to hauls, to maybe different inspired looks. So look out for that!

So, for my first ever review... I will be doing a review on the Rimmel Eye Magnifier Exact Definition Mascara in Extreme Black, $4.19 (sale price), drugstores.
(LOL, I know, I know the picture sucks, but it's my first time and I'm still trying to get the hang of it.)
I actually don't have a picture of me with the before & after using this mascara! :(
But, here is my review:
My likes:
The applicator was very flexible as it claimed to be. The mascara did add length and thickness to my lashes which I loved!

My dislikes:
The mascara made my lashes a bit clumpy as I added several coats (I have very thin lashes).

Would I buy it again or recommend it to a friend?
Sure, I'd buy it again and recommend it to a friend.

Scale of 1-10 (10 being the best):
I would rate this mascara an 8.

Thanks for stopping by!
And look out for some entries! :)

See you next time!
